Literature Text

   You had been caught by one of the Neptunians.  He'd snuck up behind you and he'd begun to encase you in ice.
   Within moments, you'd become frozen up to the neck.  You tried making fire, but you couldn't.  Your hands were frozen behind your back, and your family was all unconscious, frozen in blocks of ice.  You began to feel light-headed, and your vision slowly became less and less acute.
   All of a sudden, a boy came rushing in through the doorway.  He was perhaps a bit older than you.  Then, you realizes that it was the same boy who lived across the street, the one who was home schooled.  His short dark hair, his grey eyes, his skin tanned to perfection and his perfectly shaped face, still wearing that strong, playful yet lonely expression.
   He took one look at you and terror formed in his eyes.
   "Run!" you tried to warn him.
   "What is going on here?" you hear him say.  You vision is so blurry now, you can barely make out who is who.  Ice now covered you entirely, forcing your eyes to shut.  You heard his voice again. "Pox lov ka!  Blix uw kaurk ar?"
   Somehow you understood every word he said, but the language... It was far from English. "Let her go!  What is going on?" Then you realized something; that boy spoke Neptunian!
   Your mind lost consciousness...
   ~~~~~~~~~~
   You felt heat, but where was it coming from?  You blinked your eyes and sat up slowly.  Where's the fire?, you asked yourself, better question; where am I?
   You thought.  Okay, summary of what just happened in the last five minutes of consciousness; not going to boarding school, have no friends, your mom and family are aliens from Mercury, you are some kind of illegal cross-breed, your house got attacked by a bunch of blue people, and your neighbor across the street... that boy...
   You couldn't focus on the subject anymore.  It was all too much for you to take in at once.
   Back to the issue of 'Where are you?'  You scoped the room; grey, metal walls on all sides, walls slanted inwards near the ceiling, a dim pot light, a small ledge (the one you were sitting on) for "sleeping" and one door, which you presumed was very thick and locked with some sort of highly advanced technology.  The room was about the size of an average full bathroom or a small office.
   You began to sweat; the heat was still increasing.
   "Why on earth is it so hot in here?" You asked aloud to no one in particular.
   "Don't worry, it'll be better once I'm gone."
   You whipped your head around to see who it was; a young boy who was maybe a year at most older than you (who, you thought was very good-looking) with dark hair, mesmerizing gray eyes, a perfect tan, and a perfect face.  Him?, you were confused, the boy from across the street?  You were confused, but you tried to act calm and avoid freaking out.
   "You shouldn't flatter yourself." You told him, allowing a playful/teasing smile to come to your face.  "Why is it so hot in here, anyway, and what are you doing here?"
   He came out of the doorway and sat next to you.  There wasn't much room on the bench, so you two were a bit close.  "I was serious, __________, I am what is making this room so hot."
   "I mean, I know you are hot and everything, but there's no way you could be making all this bloody heat unless... unless... wait, you're not-"
   "Yes, I can control fire.  I'm willing to turn down the heat only if you can figure out exactly how hot it is in here."
   "How on earth am I supposed to know that?!"
   He shrugged.  "Guess."
   "I dunno, mouse 35 degrees Celsius? (That's about 100 degrees Fahrenheit, I think...)"
   "It's 95 degrees in Fahrenheit, actually, but it doesn't matter since both of your answers are incorrect.  It is 300 degrees Celsius in here, so about 572 degrees Fahrenheit." He spoke so calmly.
   "WHAT!?!  That's impossible!  Both of us should be fried turkey in this temperature!"
   "Don't you know what you are, _______?"
   "Yes, I am an electra apparently."
   "So, what kind of powers do you have?"
   "Fire, Ice, and Electricity." But you still didn't see how you you were still alive, able to tolerate immense heat that should kill you.
   "Well, wouldn't fire powers contribute to you being impervious to fire?"
   Oh!, you realized, that makes sense.  "So..." you began, embarrassed at your own stupidity. "then why are you heating this place up?   And do you know anything about who my dad is?  And why do you speak Neptunian if you're a Mercurian?  An why xym O emwujhgymw aie?"
   What did you just say?  You just spoke a language, but it wasn't Neptunian.  Your head was spinning in a tornado of confusion.  Was that Mercurian you spoke?
   You turned to look at him and saw that he looked both horribly insulted and disappointingly guilty.  Why he was like that, you had no clue.
   "I..." he began, his face red but not due to the heat.  "I'm afraid that I can't answer any of your questions.  Believe me, I want to tell you everything, but I just can't!"
   "Why not?" you interrogated.
   "Because... because I am sworn to secrecy.  In fact, I shouldn't even be here right now, we are supposed to be enemies." He turned to walk away, out through the doorway.  You tried to call after him as he slowly shut the door.
   "But I need to know!  Where am I?  Why are you siding with the stupid Neptunians?  Who are you?"
   "I can't tell you that" he said as he stopped, just outside of the doorway."
   You grabbed his hand through the closing doorway.  "At least tell me your name."
   He looked deeply into your pretty e/c eyes.
   "Shane."
Okay, so I found this already typed from a while ago so I decided to upload it. This is the last bit I'll be uploading as I have lost interest in this. But yeah, you can kinda use your imagination to imagine what would've happened next. ;)
